Burkina Faso is home to our Love Does School situated just outside the capital, Ouagadougou. The Love Does School not only provides education to children, but also provides a daily meal and a place to belong. The current building provides 8 classrooms and we are doubling our capacity given the growing demand.

This is the only school in the region, and it’s become a source of hope and admiration throughout the community. Many families in the surrounding areas are eager to enroll their children, so we expanded to build a separate secondary school.

Construction on the new building was completed at the end of June and now we need your help to furnish it and welcome even more students through the doors!

Last week, we joined forces with an incredible crew—Lifeline Christian Mission, City View Church, refugee families, friends, and volunteers—to pack 53,568 meals for the students at our school in Burkina Faso. That’s right—53,568 meals filled with rice, vegetables, protein, and vital nutrients that will help fuel students’ bodies and minds! The room was buzzing with energy, teamwork, and excitement.

These meals will support our Love Does school in Burkina Faso, where for many students, it is their only food for the day. To everyone who showed up to help pack meals and make the night unforgettable: thank you. You are part of this story, you are part of the impact, and we’re so grateful.

At the end of January, some of our team traveled to Burkina Faso to visit Pastor Deme, our country director, and the incredible school staff.

We spent time with teachers, met amazing students, and visited families in the community. It was evident that The Love Does School is transforming lives by providing a safe environment for education and mentorship as well as reducing food insecurity through our meal program. We’re also happy to report that the construction of the new secondary school is progressing well and is on schedule for completion in June!

From joyful moments with students to meaningful conversations about the future, this trip reminded us why we do what we do. Education is more than just learning—it’s a source of hope, stability, and opportunity.
